Canada Day is just over a week away and the closures have begun.
As usual, hundreds of thousands of tourists and locals will descend on Ottawa’s downtown for July 1, and the National Capital Commission needs time to prepare.
That means public spaces at and around Parliament Hill will have limited access as workers set up stages, information kiosks, and first-aid tents for the national holiday.
Downtown venues off-limits to public as Canada Day preparations begin
